I really don't understand why closing the registration is required!
It's been clearly said only first 100 registered people will get the
DVD. No matter thousands or millions have registered. Closing a
registration like this makes negative impact so far I experienced.

139 people has already registered for our upcoming program Ubuntu
Intrepid Ibex Live, and we've only 11 more slots left. We'll no
longer accept registrations once we've 150 registrants, so if you
still haven't registered and want to attend the program, then please
register yourself

Don't close it. Close it a day before the party. 30% of the registered may
not attend finally. So leave the oppertunity for the rest.
