I experienced a similar problem with Skype.
When a chat call comes for the first time (so that the chat window is
open for the first time) my system does not respond for about 30

I tested last night with a self powered usb hub. Still the same problem.
Also installed a separate usb-pci-card and connected the mouse and kdb
to it. Unfortunately I cannot use the keryboard when booting a linux cd
:-( Seems that the usb ports on the card aren't inititalised yet.

I had the same problem while upgrading from dapper to edgy. However, I
only saw this error after dropping to single user mode. Otherwise,
installing initramfs-tools would hang forever when it tried to recreate
the initrd, and output no error message.
Once in single user mode, this error appeared

I downloaded the Edgy VMware image, and upgraded it to Feisty, but
that fails to boot properly. So, I cannot even test compiz in VMware,

I have the same problem (also running edgy). When using AA in KDE
OpenOffice menus and Interface is gray and blurry, and when switching
off AA it gets VERY edgy and ugly?
This was not a problem in Dapper. It might however be a problem with
OpenOffice 2.0.4?

Thank you for your bug. What version of Ubuntu do you use? Do you have
an example to point? Does rhythmbox playlist-URI work? It's supposed
to make a radio from an http one and import a local playlist as a
rhythmbox playlist according to the upstream
