Patrice, you are right. Nautilus works because it accesses my DVD-writer through /dev/scd0. But if I start it as a user who is in group cdrom but not in group floppy it fails too. The default user is member of both groups, so it doesn't have any impact that scd0's group is floppy instead of cdrom.
