Please, no need to confirm this anymore, we know it's broken and are
trying to find the cure.
The bug is not in the driver, since Herd5 didn't have that. I've now put
new xserver-xorg-core which has debugging symbols in it. so no need to
install a -dbg too, so go grab these and get a backtrace:

From my understanding it's possible to get this working with the
Alternate CD, but is there any way at all to get a Live CD booted? I do
a lot of testing with the Live desktops and it would be a godsend if I
could find a way to boot into it. Is there a way to boot without the
GUI using the Live
I think it is a bug because when you enable CTL they will appear
just fine but when you want them to disappear tthe refuse to do so. It
will be the oposite of this bugFirst we couldn't add them...then we
couldn't remove them.

Hi,
no I'm adding infos to this bug, I also experience it.
I found out, that in my case using Firefox across Windows and Linux with the
same profile is causing the bug. Everytime after I used Firefox in WinXP, the
extensions.rdf is altered and Firefox under Ubuntu gets problems. After
deleting
2) mounting the image via loop device (mount -o loop /path/to/image
/mountpoint) does not show the problem
3) running the dvd integrity check does not show any issue
I do check step 2-3 under Linux and you are right! The files are now recognized
as correct.
Under Windows as i did check was
Nobody actually uploaded the new version; rejecting this bug since it no
longer makes sense.

Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: gnome-panel
If I drag a link from Firefox's address bar down to the gnome-panel to create a
shortcut/link to the website, it will fail, it will only create a broken
launcher without icon or content.
If clicked on, I only get this.
