Well, my colleague may have found the problem.
It seems that it is a kernel configuration since 2.6.17 that is in cause.
On my machine, and those of my colleague, setting net.ipv4.tcp_rmem works fine.
I've not yet tested on other machines that had similar problem ...
To set this configuration,

In Feisty I expected that pressing the volume-up/down buttons on my laptop
would show this kmix window with only a slider and alter the volume.

No way to mount an external firewire HDD with the laptop already turned on.
Instead I can mount an external firewire HDD connecting it before turning on
the laptop.

archivemail in fiesty does not work with python 2.5 but does work with

odolühi, use the latest ndiswrapper (currently this is 1.43) and
uninstall the drivers and install the latest drivers from Atheros.
golfbuf, your problem isn't related to this bug, nor is it a bug. You
have to use the correct driver. Use a 32bit-driver if you are running a
32it-Ubuntu (i386). (If

I have been running Feisty for a week or so now and can confirm that this
problem has been fixed in the 2.6.20-15-generic kernel (for me at least).
Feisty also fixes some other kernel related problems that I experienced with
Edgy so I think it is probably a good idea to upgrade.

Martin, that attachment seems to be incomplete. Where exactly should I
add the line to NetworkManager.conf?
(I'm experiencing this same problem, running Feisty.)

Finally I have managed to trap more information on this bug. Here is
from my /var/log/messages in the past few days. What you see at the top
of the list is the npviewer segfault, and you can see that this is not
fatal, at least not directly by any means, as the computer kept running
apparently
