Just for information, you need to umount (or pumount) removable devices
before unplugging them - if you fail to do so, you leave your drive in
an unspecified state. This is most probably the cause of the problem you

I tried k3b on Kubunty Gutsy Tribe 2, and alas with exact the same
result: the Samsung HT-Q20 says play prohibited. please, check disc
when I put in the resulting video-DVD.

Confirmed, it works! Neverball, Audacious Frozen Bubble together
without crackling. But PCM channel in alsamixer now doesn't work, I can
use Front channel for volume changes, but I can hear sound even if it's
set to 0. But mute works.
