OK, I've looked at Windows Vista to see how its done there. I don't think it
looks the best, but the text is definitely readable. I'm attaching a screenshot
to demonstrate what they've done. In essence, they heavily blur translucent
title bars so that there are no sharp edges shining through

I found a work-around in the net:
Just reinstall libgtk2.0-0_2.10.11-0ubuntu3_i386.deb and install it with
'dpkg -i libgkt' . This will superseed version 2.11.6 (afaik) and

Sadly MMS was rejected from passing Debian's NEW ;(
We have to look for excluding some libs (like ffmpeg, etc.) which are
included right now ... hope to get that fixed for 1.0.8.x. If not, we
