bugfix _really_ annoying. What's the point of running tracker when it
can't find the file I just saved somewhere? I mean how much power does
one save? Does OS X's finder stop indexing on battery as well?

I received the same error using xinerama. The bug I believe is valid.
If compiz or beryl is enabled, the option to use xinerama should be
greyed out and forced to use seperate X sessions or suggest twinview.
This is one of the struggles I have every time I set up Ubuntu.

As you say, probably the problem is in the libgpod. But then, how to go further?

This bug is not a problem with the Upstart source code, but a problem
with Ubuntu's shutdown jobs or scripts that they run.
Even if the problem were found to be in the upstream code, the right way

I'm using a desktop with three IDE hard disks in it, all of which have
been detected as /dev/sd* after the switch from Feisty to Gutsy. I can
shutdown/hibernate/suspend with no problem. But then again, I've never
experienced the clicking sound problem because all the previous kernels
