I also can confirm this with an NVIDIA 6150 integrated chipset when
trying to setup dual screens (default=1280x800, and 1280x1024 external
monitor) when using the Gutsy screens and graphics tool with restricted
driver enabled. After X is restarted, both screens dump to highest
resolution

Everything is great except xvideo.
When playing video using xvideo, I can see only black screen.

Same problem here. (KDE / Compiz with latest update)
I can add that I must always right-click on the desktop and make a window
appear before Kicker appears to the screen, but when a popup menu covers the
kicker window, then the kicker window disappears.

As strange as it may look, under lyx if you choose view pdf instead of
update pdf (or dvi), evince will reload your document. This is because
evince does not open a new window for the same pdf. This works around
the bug report related to lyx.

I saw a recent update in gutsy saying fixed default selection of
foomatic-db driver or something like that - perhaps unrelated and in
the very end it does not count too much.

Hi all,
I updated today xserver-xorg-video-ati today to the latest version
(xserver-xorg-video-ati 1:6.7.195-1ubuntu1) and I noticed on reboot that my the
desktop on my lcd screen went up by 4-5mm.
The upper Taskbar is almost
I´m using clean Gutsy install all available updates are installed.
No modification at xorg.conf have been done so far from my side.

I am running Gutsy Beta, Toshiba Tecra Laptop. The people at OOoForums
said that Ubuntu ships a modified OpenOffice.org with bugs, so get the
mainstream version instead. However, the mainstream version does not
work for me either. Is this an OOo problem or a Ubuntu Problem?

Alright, this is strange. I Installed the mainstream version and it
didn't work so I uninstalled and then reinstalled Ubuntu's OOo through
Synaptic. Now it works, but the colors have changed from white to grey.
Format seems to work now, but the box now takes up the entire screen.
