I must agree with the above comments that fancyheadings.sty certainly
should not be removed - backwards compatibility is of paramount

I guess that 640x480 is better than a non working X so you have to work with
console which is pain for Newbies. Since displayconfig-gtk is used in rescue
mode it is needed and afaik it produces a working xorg with maybe wrong

Ok, I have tested it with the daily build of the 16th. It losses the ability to
save any resolution in xorg.conf (there is no resolution saved) but thanks to
xrandr I guess I get the correct native resolution and it works fine out of the
box. Since all the Intel cards are shipped with the new

I 've set the property as you said, but still same behavior when playing the
video in totem or using the gst-launch playbin command.
I noticed a strange behavior though, when totem is running, gst-launch works

dpkg -l '*fglrx*'
and
locate fglrx
to see if there is still some evil proprietary bits around.
It looks like a mismatch
till, ive not run the command.
i *think* a cupsys update hit my machine last night... however my

It looks like debconf crashed and that caused the trouble. Most likely
this happend when debconf tried to launch its frontend.

Working much better after Gutsy updates. However sometimes it's
disconnecting and no way to bring it back, except by reloading the
module again. Error message in logs is different though, I will copy
paste it here once I try Gutsy again.
