I have a similar issue. Though I can print the whole pdf document in
evince, there is no chance to select pages. Neither 197-208 nor
197,198,... works here. It is the same problem with Acrobat reader.
Maybe it is a driver problem ( I have an HP Laserjet 4L and use the
recommended HP LaserJet 4L

I have tried exactly the same what you describe. I cannot reproduce it.
I needed to change the background color under the tab Colors instead of
Highlighting Text Styles. However if the colors are set and kate is
exited, after reloading the file it shows the same colors as set.

I've mapped the Caps Lock key to be an additional Ctrl from Gnome's
Keyboard control panel. It works; however, when I press Caps Lock, the

None of hotkeys of the sony vaio VGN-BX296XP seem to work apart from the mute
button (which seems to be hw implemented).
I contacted the developer of the sony_laptop module and he replied that my
laptop seems to be using the GHKE method.
The dmesg output shows:

now that I tried it again and I recall that was what was happening, it
is that the text in white does not ever show up...it always resets to
