The problem is with Gutsy 32bit as well as 64 bit as well. For changing the network settings like ESSID or even DNS a 'sudo /etc/init.d/networking restart' is needed or a reboot. This is since dapper. Would be nice if fixed in the next stable version. -- Changing network settings requires reboot

Greetings, All: Trying to get this card to work on a Dell Inspiron 1720. When I followed Critchlow's steps, I get this (1) ./configure: works OK (2) sudo make: works first, then bonks out the following: make[2]: Entering directory `/home/apastern/alsa-driver-1.0.15rc3/misc'
