gutsy are looking for .esd but something else (another package) swapped
the targets around (ie from .esd to .esd-1000 and vice versa) between

In the past, the Linux/ACPI video driver invoked _DOS (Display Output
Switch) with the parameter 1 to tell the BIOS to switch the video output
display for us.
But this conflicts with Linux native graphics drivers, and can cause all
sorts of issues, including hanging the system.

WRT comment #30: I closed the bug tagged as insufficient data because
I think in the end in comes down to BIOS intrinsics like Leann says. As
the BIOS is proprietary there is insufficient data the way I see it :)
Maybe this bug is nforce2 specific. If so we could lobby for a kernel
quirk.

I can't make VNC connection with Suse Linux Enterprise Server 10.3 in
Gutsy. I tried xvnc3viewer, vncviewer and xtightvncviewer. It works fine
in Feisty with xtightvncviewer. I get an Unknown server message type
message. Please find details in the attachment.
