I can confirm that on 2.6.22-14 kernel that a suspend from RAM works
except for Sound. This is on a Dell Dimension 8300 w/ 2GB RAM, PIV-HT
and a SB Live sound card. The only way to rest the sound is reboot. I
did not create a new Bug report as this seemed very similar to this
thread.

I use a custom theme using clearlooks and the nuevoxt icon set. Changing
the theme back to Human didn't help. Btw, it's not only in the desktop

module assistant and then I added the line options snd-hda-intel
model=lg to /etc/modprobe.d/alsa-base
There seems to be some buildup of config fiiles in that directory, that
might cause problems...
