Chris,
I tried to test it: the first bug, I reported
(http://www.openoffice.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=85073) is now solved.
It works correctly.
But I cannot test the second due to my comments to bug 193139
(https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/openoffice.org/+bug/193139/).
Summary: OOo
I guess we can close the bug report according to your comment. Maybe it is a
hardware issue if the whole system gets stuck.

This is a human-icon-theme issue. Looks as it should with other icon
sets, such as gnome-icon-theme, where the folders are designed for that
size, not just resized in gimp. The 24x24 folders in human are 16 pixels
tall, so redesigning the 16x16 folder to be that tall should take care
of things.
I have the same problem. After I updated from kernel 2.6.24-11 to
2.6.24-12 my sound stopped working. My card is ALC262 (Sony Vaio vgn-

I'm untagging this bug, as there is a work-around, which most people
affected by this issue would do anyway. The workaround is simply to
switch back to using metacity as the window manager. I have done this
for the accessibility profiles on the hardy live CD, so it won't affect
users.
However,
Tested using your 20080310 download link - same problem.
The bootup process looks like:
1. The brown desktop background flashes up for a second or so
2. The screen then blanks and I get the text boot options
3. After a while, screen turns white for a few seconds then goes black again
4. A text
I tried this in Windows XP with the 2.3.0 version- no problem.

I am using 2.3.0 for Ubuntu 64bit Gutsy and have the same problem. When I move
the Formatting Toolbar the first time into the spreadsheet and want to dock it

quite some users have 'lost' their toolsbar that way.

I have nearly the same problem. I have just installed Kubuntu 8.04 and I have
all packages updated. My printer is HP LaserJet 1200. So I run hp-setup, choose
USB, then my printer model appears - I choose it and click Next button. But the
program doesn't respond and I get the following output:
