lsmod | grep dcdbas' in a terminal without the ticks.

I'm getting this too, in both gutsy and the latest hardy beta. The bug does not
occur in 32 bit versions.
I am running a Core 2 quad q6600, and the video card is a Nvidia 8800GTS.

OK. Pre-SMBIOS system. Your system was manufactured pre-1999 (probably).
However, it does appear to have ACPI functionality. This appears to be disabled
by default on your system probably due to it's age. You could try booting with
acpi=force kernel option? Long-shot!

my best understanding of the upgrading process is it will collect on all
informations from our systems and upgrade it as what the new systems suposed
to do. Ironically new system overwrite it and irregardless of what the old
systems has. As I mentioned it's kill and disable some of the main
Tim, I have now implemented option (1) with a simple pop-up dialog (also
upstream in the SVN). Feel free to convert this into a wizard page,
perhaps with check boxes and not radio buttons and when both check boxes
are checked the wizard could set up the printer and the fax, as I
suggested in
Not the driver install, but the xorg.conf and /etc/environment hacking solved
this problem.
Now it's better than in Gutsy :)

Installed 8.04 Beta today, eventually got DCP130C printer running using DCP135C
driver, could not install DCP130C one via Synaptic, because it has dependency
