authenticate with it. When I mistype the password, I get auth.log

I have this problem in Ubuntu 8.04 LTS Beta. Tapping the screen causes
the mouse to click, but the cursor does not move. The TouchKit app does
not show any tab besides About either. The computer is a hp tablet
tx1000. I am attaching my xorg.conf file.

I think the developers should be a little more forthcoming
about sound issues in Hardy and not drag their feet only
asking for more information. For example, it was well
documented that certain updates of Hardy Alpha did not
recognize sound cards and then this was fixed in the
next update. So
I cannot get ldap authentication to work in Hardy with this bug (using
just Ubuntu packages). This needs to be fixed before Hardy's release- I
would consider this a critical bug.
Would the maintainer look into upgrading libnss-ldap ?

gathering some CPU
@Michael, The TI cards are now supported using the Tifm21 drivers ( on
berlios if you want to check it out) anyway This driver has been
included in the kernel, make sure you have a new kernel!!!
On my 2.6.24 kernel it is working very nice...

This would be important to see if this bug happens with Brother packages
in Hardy if you can install these packages. Don't forget to uninstall
our packages before installing the Brother ones. You might also try

The bug/problem is, that the bash-completion-package was not installed by the
default (Beta 1) installation.
After i installed the package manually, everthiny work as normal.

hi,
would like to reopen because i just tested the latest daily of hardy and
ran into the described problem. I am testing with AMD64 version and have
a GeForce 7600GT with two monitors connected. If both are connected
during startup of the live-cd i get flashing colors in vertical stripes
on one
