Sorry I took my eye off the ball a little on this one.
As I'm sure you know logcheck uses a set of standard regexps to filter
out the normal log messages and send the admin the rest. amavisd-
new's filters are not quite catching all the normal mail now.

I no longer seem to be getting the assertion error with this patch.
This is again with -O2, as I had trouble reproducing with -O0. I do now
somtimes get a SIGPIPE, which is less harmful (eg, xscreensaver is still

The same anoying problem happened to me on a freshly install i386
8.04lts no compiz ever install. Just after i did last update. It seems
to correct itself after fiddling with f11 in firefox to acces the

Confirm (8.04). Network sound works after installing the ALSA PulseAudio
plugins from Debian unstable and telling all aps to output to ALSA instead of
PulseAudio.
When using the stock ALSA plugins to output to Pulse, Rhythmbox will randomly
hang when switching desktops. When using gst-pulse, it
Dapper will download the upgrader from hardy to perform the upgrade. So
this case should work fine now. The fix is now in hardy-updates so it is
used by default.
Before it was in hardy-updates it was required to use -p (--proposed)
to get the proposed version of the upgrade.

after some investigation problem seem related with a strange interaction
from kernel and kbluetoothd
if I connect via ssh to machine without logging in from kdm I can use hcitool
without problem
if first I log from kdm and try to use hcitool info machine lock
prior to lock kbluetooth applet
This was probably premature. After purging the partial install and
cleaning my downloaded repositories I was able to get the install to
work.

Since upstream reports that this printk is indeed incorrect and has
submitted a patch to remove it, and that the impact of the patch should
be essentially zero (the message isn't an error and doesn't convey any
useful information, but is confusing and ugly), could this be included
the next time a

I notice that both the real upper right corner and the false upper right

I've started a thread on the forums
(http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=804242) asking for a work-
around for this problem. In particular, I'd like to set up the fonts on
my system so that Nimbus is not displayed on screen (or, at the very
least, in Firefox) unless it is explicitly asked
