Correct my if I'm wrong, but it looks like the patch file is not
actually in /usr/share/initramfs-tools/scripts? If you downloaded the
file to any other location, you need to specify the full path when
executing patch.

First, I can assure you that the incorrect text in .gtk-bookmarks was
created somewhere in the normal use/upgrade of Ubuntu. Neither the end

Problem is two fold. First do the following to get the correct drivers:

...then...

Work-around posted. Should solve most issues.
Package still needs fixed to account for memory errors and playback.

I'm confirming this bug, because noticed this error message on my system too,
problem isn't in hard disk space, but in calculation of CD-R (media) space -
error message is not enough disc space on media.
AFAIK brasero 0.7 wrongly calculates size of audio CD before burning, I've meet
with this

ntp actually installs, and the correct behaviour is shown once time
date settings are reopened, so marking as an issue with gnome-system-
tools instead.

that was what cause the alacarte error I listed above.
Copying in an applications.menu from a friend (also on Hardy) didn't
help either (applications menu was still empty). This did start in
alacarte, but it just had templates for the main folders - nothing in
them, so I'd have had to repopulate
It seems this bug is related to bug #240500 and Pedro Villavicencio
wrote in comments - bug is likely a known one (wrong calculation).

In the meanwhile, I found out that this bug is due to permission issues
when accessing USB.
This issue affects all applications accessing garmin GPS devices directly via
usb (such as gpsbabel). Here is a description and a solution:
