Sigh.. I was assuming the changelog link on the packages website pointed
to the most recent changelog. Instead I was looking at an older

I've been running Feisty for a while and decided to upgrade to Hardy. I
used the Update Manager to upgrade from Feisty to Gutsy without problems
last night. Tonight I decided to take the next step from Gutsy to
Hardy. I again used the Update
I get the same behaviour (clicking the icon saying that updated packages
are available causes a window to turn up in the task bar for a split second
before disappearing). In xsession-errors I get this line for every click:
Could not find 'kdesu' executable.

this problem affects KDEPIM 3.x and is know upstream and has been
discussed many many times on kdepim-users ML.
Until now, it has not been possible to determine exactly what causes the
corruption of the indexes, but it may be related to simultaneous access
(by filters, antispam, etc).
