Great ! So the problem probably came from some unwanted /etc file
removals.
However, nagios2 could still be fixed to better support removal /
reinstall in the case /etc/nagios2/apache2.conf has been deleted
(gracefully ignore that rather than failing miserably).
Bug reproduction :
$ sudo apt-get
Same problem with nagios3 (same prerm code used). See:

Hi Chuck,
I have doubts whether this particular bug warrants an update. My
understanding from reading the patch is that the reason the acl fails to
work as intended is not because the sense of the acl is inverted, but
because the acl matches no addresses instead of all addresses.
So since
The bacula 2.2.8-5ubuntu7.2 version in the unapproved queue looks to
have a correct fix for this issue, but bug #227613 is still

same time, or else roll back
Also, when uploading please build your source package with
-v2.2.8-5ubuntu7 so that the full changelog from the previous hardy

bugs that are in need of verification.

I'd also like to add that this is not only a prolem with OPENDNS but any
DNS server that redirects bad requests. For example, my ISP is Charter
Communications and they redirect all bad lookups to their helpful
search page, so in essence all lookups are good. This confuses some
apps, like samba.

Care to test a few things . . . First can you try installing the linux-
