The Ubuntu Kernel Team is planning to move to the 2.6.27 kernel for the
upcoming Intrepid Ibex 8.10 release. As a result, the kernel team would

Public bug reported:
The zoom slider does not work neither does the spell check key. I
followed this page http://gentoo-
wiki.com/HOWTO_Microsoft_Natural_Ergonomic_Keyboard_4000 but all the
instructions are for older kernel. Also http://www.lieberbiber.de/docs

Largely same here. Nautilus pops up that error message for Computer and
Network, and I can't access my Trash. I've been using Hardy for months.
The problem happened concurrently with Appearance Settings no longer
being able to find any of the main themes (i.e. human et al) as well as
the system
I haven't tested 2.6.27, but FYI every 2.6.24 kernel in 8.04 I've used
has worked perfectly with the Broadcom 4311.

Thanks a lot for forwarding it, hopefully we can drop our local change
due to that soon again. Also thanks for crediting Ralph with the fix in
the changelog.
I'll check this out again once Alpha5 Freeze is over.
Thanks to both of you!

still an issue?

thank you for your reply,
I have resoved this issue with the following :
In a terminal:
Code:
/etc/modprobe.d/blacklist
and add these two lines to the end of the file...
blacklist padlock_aes
blacklist geode_aes
This seemed to resolve the issue with the sound issue, startup time issue
