I can confirm that the bug is not fixed.
I've installed Intrepid on my system but I can't test totem 2.23.x because
there is a regression in the kernel and my dvb device is not recognized atm.
In the next days I'll try to boot Intrepid with an older or newer kernel too

The kernel interface seems to have changed. I did not check whether this
was already like that in 2.6.26. The following patch makes compilation
possible for me but long-term this probably will have to come from
virtualbox.

Yes, this is still an issue. I have not found a solution for it, and got
no suggestions for further debugging. I have not tried the 8.10 alpha

Installation media will not boot on HP Pavillion m8530f, drops to BusyBox

it gave two opportunuties about A460. When I selected first or second

This is still resent with latest Intrepid and latest 2.6.27 kernel.
Upon issuing a restart from within KDE, the system restarts and hangs on
the itCO_wdt. If I shutdown completely, this works as expected.
