Intrepid installation
Hello everybody.
Same here. Dell Inspiron 1525, Over wireless, SSH hangs, GFTP via ssh
also, Putty doesn't.
Ioctls doesn't work either.

...and after that, SSH keeps hanging just like before.
My case is
I believe this is a regression in ia32-libs. When I downgrade to
2.2ubuntu11 (current is 2.2ubuntu13) and install the 4 missing libraries
with getlibs, everything works great. These 4 libraries were added in
2.2ubuntu12, which was quickly replaced by the current version, so I
don't understand

Well your x session although not managed by a login manager still does
run as a user. Irexec, like all lirc apps needs to get configuration
loaded when starting. There is currently no defined systemwide
location for these things.
So once jaunty development starts you should come join us on IRC
I think this is more related to the KDE Desktop rendering engine more
than FF itself. I've seen other KDE windows show up showing similar
results of `boxed out radio boxes`. Once I remember where this screen
is, I'll post a screen shot.

Binary package hint: rinse
When doing a CentOS-4 install, the installation fails with the following output:
Failed to fetch :
http://anorien.csc.warwick.ac.uk/mirrors/centos/4.5/os/x86_64/CentOS/RPMS/
404 Not Found
The same happens for the i386 version.
To avoid
It looks like this is an intended behavior (i.e. [d]effective by
design).
It seams to be that Log-off/Log-on step is crucial here. Since by
default Ubuntu invokes xdg-user-dirs-update, which resets empty folders
corresponding to anything set in .config/user_dirs.dirs to $HOME and
nautilus

Thanks for your report. This is indeed a new issue. I've forwarded the
report to the developers of the software.
Developers: the tokenize*() methods blindly take the values returned
from getBetween(). Maybe it would be sensible to check them for sanity
before actually using them.

Is it only ppp that causes issues? I think the most
all this is still not a firefox issue. upstream backedn out NM support
in development head. but once we have the proposed patches in upstream
NM tree, we hopefully can enable that feature everwhere again.
