I have tried to get Intrepid in two ways: several times with upgrade -d
from Heron and recently with the live CD. In both cases the video card
cannot be found and when I accept low resolution the system freezes.
With the upgrade I have tried to use the xorg.conf from Heron, but that
doesn't work.

Someone says this problem is fixed, but the problems I have experienced seem
fairly similar. I'm running an HP Pavilion 522a with 1 GB RAM and using
Intrepid Ibis (beta something). I tried this and that but pretty well nothing
worked. In the end I just removed Hibernate from the shut down

And this bug can be closed (and marked private, if the email address
situation is otherwise not resolved) when the syncs for jaunty happen,
as the debian version of jabbin will automatically enter Ubuntu.

thanks for the input. That certainly moves us forward quite a bit. I
think we can say the slow Calendar problem has been diagnosed. One could
argue that Kontact ought to migrate all the existing events
automatically but for now lets try to get to the root of the typing
problem. I'm not sure
