I also observe the same issue on my Thinkpad X40. The Intel driver
version is 2.5.1 with mesa3d 7.2 and xorg 7.4. This is not on an Ubuntu
system, which I think would indicate that the issue is not distribution
specific, but rather indicates a bug in the driver.

I've been able to duplicate the exact symptoms on another laptop running

Any progress on this? Timo, have you by chance tried this out in Hardy
or Intrepid? Hardy has the same tuxpaint version as Gutsy but perhaps
something in the printing might have changed. Intrepid has a newer
tuxpaint version which might be interesting to test with as well.

I installed listen on a newly formatted ubuntu 8.10 and while I'm
listening to a song I'm still getting the same traceback.

cheers everybody.. i have good news...
after setting up everything with the new modem, i haven't had a kernel
panic the whole day (some serious traffic has been going on like p2p
more than 500 kBs, media streaming etc).. i sure hope it's not just

"Open" button doesn't respond when clicked. Options are not greyed out
for me, the 'Open' button doesn't work for either the Detach or Save
All.

(1) switch-user to work properly (which, at present, crashes my system), and
(2) dual-head support to work properly.

I'd still try to delete that extended partition and recreate it. Sounds like
your partition table is pretty screwed to me. Rewriting it with windows or
something might help. I don't think anything will work for you without
changes to the table somehow. Unallocated space doesn't just suddenly appear
I am getting exactly the same in Intrepid as well.
It used to be more random, now it's more like 9/10 times I resume, the wireless
doesn't work until I reboot.
