I can kind of confirm this bug. Actually I can only confirm this error
for certain function names. For example, try replace HI5() with foo(),
and everything should work as expected.
From my limited testing I've only ran into this problem when the
function name contains a capital I.

May I suggest that the mysql package adds a hardlink itself, say
/usr/sbin/mysqld-standalone or something, for use in other applications?
That way each application that runs its own mysqld doesn't have to
meddle with the hardlink maintenance, and it would presumably be a lot

I can confirm the same problem in 8.10 and 9.04 Alpha6. Landing page is
almost instant to load. Any navigation that requires leaving the page
either takes a very long time or times out, however if you copy the link

Sorry, my initial workaround is incomplete, and as a result launches
whatever is in your dvd drive. I made this mistake because I had the
original DVD and the iso I was trying to mount in my DVD drive.

Just had some other software in my PPA which conflicted with building a kile
that can actually run on intrepid. I got rid of that now, so a new kile package
for intrepid is there when it finishes building.

kdvi is an kde3 application, so could be that it is part of the
Kapchoi, try uninstalling and reinstalling Flash then. Or try with a
new user to see if it's your Firefox configuration.

note that slow really means that the _whole_ screen gets updated less
than every two seconds. There is also not much CPU used by compiz. The
only thing which still works as usual is the mouse cursor. (Which is

I have just reproduced this bug in ubuntu jaunty alpha 6.
I will check if the system lock also happens in xubuntu, to see if not having
compiz does indeed provide a workaround.

I can confirm this bug on an Asus Eee PC 4G Surf (00:02.0 VGA compatible
controller [0300]: Intel Corporation Mobile 915GM/GMS/910GML Express
Graphics Controller [8086:2592] (rev 04)). The refresh rate with UXA
enabled is about 1 frame every 5 seconds, although CPU usage is normal.
