I have the same issue when booting into 2.6.28-11 kernel, and after booting I
cannot access my usb devices until I hard-reset them... and you can figure how
I can't reset an internal usb device.
I noted that, booting from another kernel, it solve the issue (I used 2.6.14-14
and everything works
Note that leaving out sudo causes this... a brief dialog pops up (too fast to
read.)
$ update-manager -d
authenticate 'jaunty.tar.gz' against 'jaunty.tar.gz.gpg'

Then running correctly (sudo update-manager -d) works fine.

I still have this problem with Jaunty. After the grub menu I get a black
screen with the blinking cursor for 40-50 seconds. After this the
booting process goes fine. I think this is an issue with grub and has
something to do with the fact that I'm booting from an external USB HDD.
I also tried to
Re-indexing does fix the problem. The issue is that first of all,
this shouldn't happen, and secondly, it happens frequently enough that
re-indexing every time the results fail to display is not convenient
and makes tracker not ready for everyday use.

Upgrade from 8.10 to 9.04 produced this bug for me. Package 'ntfs-
config' was already installed. I had to do `apt-get remove ntfs-config;
apt-get install ntfs-config` and `dpkg-reconfigure ntfs-config` before

Pretty much anytime I try to delete anything the trash shows as empty
and the files show up in .local/share/Trash/files. If I hit delete they
disappear and come right back into the same folder. I have to use the
terminal and use the rm filename to get rid of them.

Making a symlink between the -generic and -server kernel headers is not
the proper solution. If the virtualbox-ose install is trying to build
only in the generic directory, then that's bug in it's dkms.conf.
Please post it's DKMS conf and we can see about fixing that.

It's still a fairly serious usability issue: you've asked to be
connected automatically at boot, and this doesn't happen. Instead, you
have to go into the network settings and put in the wallet password,
which isn't very intuitive. I still think a different fix is needed.

It seems that kaffeine can't find xine_part.desktop in the old kde3
place after upgrading to the new kdelibs4c2a which are compiled with
/opt/kde3 as prefix.

Yesterday (apr, 23) I donwloaded and installed ubuntu 9.04 in my
desktop, and as I have a backup of my Evolution data, when I run it for
the first time I choose to restore my Evolution backup file.
