First off, after the upgrade, the network didn't work, nor did X11. Each
time I reboot, it says eth0 is down. Finally after sitting at the
Hardware Abstraction Layer for a long time, the system comes up. To get
it the system to boot, I had to boot from cdrom and go in and

Reducing /proc/sys/vm/swappiness doesn't help too.
My current workaround is just to unmount the swap partition at all and restart

Does moving/removing ~/.openoffice.org* resolve the problem? This is
almost certainly an OOo bug since it can't really do anything that
should be able to freeze the system, so it is probably some sort of an
issue with the kernel or xorg. I'm not sure what though.

Hi,
I am having the exact same error message whenever my computer boots. I
have a Lenovo Ideapad y530 2PU. Dmidecode also tells me that I have 667
ddr2 ram when I actually have 1066 ddr3 ram. Please check this bug

And I wonder when the patch will be applied in the official package?
I have manually fixed something without Synaptic. I works and i am very pleased
with that.
But... I hope it will be someday implemented in the official Jaunty packages?
