Do not know why it works, but following the instructions given at

Okay, I finally figured out how to dump to a file. The
daemon/pavucontrol crash around line 538 which says

I believe I have discovered why this is.
I decided to compile gimp-gap-2.4.0 from the source tarball at gimp.org.
Using all dev packages from the repository (9.10) for gimp and other
dependencies, the build failed in file ./gap/gap_dbbrowser_utils.c line 160.
Apparently (according to the
LiveCD does not boot since the only CD drive the T5730 has is a USB drive -
there are no internal IDE connectors.
However the text mode installer kernel from Ubuntu 9.04 works fine and detects
all the drives - for example, in rescue mode.
I got Ununtu 9.04 installed on the built-in ATA flash.

I had a similar problem with a brand new install of Ubuntu 9.04 (Jaunty)
with a French keyboard.
At the first boot, the keyboard mapping was US. I simply used the gnome-
keyboard-properties application to add a French layout and make it the

gives Ruby binding for Plasma.
This package should be automatically installed if someone install a
Plasmoid which requires it. Plasmoid can be installed with the Get Hot
New Stuff Plasma tool without using a deb package

As soon as mousetweaks functionality is used, for example holding
primary button for secondary click, the mouse cursor is replaced bad an
ugly things. And the ugly thing stays until I logout.
I can not take a screen shot of that, since on

Caps Lock is on or off. I would love to have a on screen indicator
telling this state to me.
Another simpler approach is to just ignore the state of caps lock during
crypt setup.

patch, and it has bad performance too. i've tried it several times,
different methods, but it was the same every time.

I noticed that reloading module named 'thermal' usually helps. I even
made cron entry that does rmmod thermal; modprobe thermal every five
minutes or so.
Now that i have stock 9.04 kernel, thermal is not compiled as module and
i came to look for solution.

My computer doesn't have an indicator for caps lock. I would like to
have an indicator telling just momentarily when the state changes on the
screen and then disappears. Some passwords dialogs don't tell the state
of caps lock.

I just wanted say that I'm very impressed with 9.04 (Jaunty Jackalope)
version. Being a windows XP user most of my life. I found the change
to Ubuntu a bit difficult, annoying, because it seemed like every
simple task was nightmare in Ubuntu as opposed to windows. But I have
