This is resolved for karmic, because acpi-support no longer does
separate suspend/resume handling at all, passing this through to pm-

I'm also affected by this bug. Using Jaunty PPC on a PS3, Microsoft
Notebook Mouse 5000.
Workaround 1:

No hibernate/sleep available in gdm, but once logged in they do exist
and work OK.

I've retried the ebox install from a newly jaunty install (server 32 bits) and
it worked flawlessly.
During the install i did not select any services to install (just click
continue), then sudo apt-get install ebox.
Maybe there was an issue with the jaunty alpha even though it was up to
date
there is now a tool called USB startup disk creator available in
ubuntu that automates all the needed work here; and it works perfectly
fine. I tried using the UNETBOOTIN approach, but it produced a version
which ran into many of the problems listed above by Jan. This was with
the latest ubuntu

dri2-dev 2.1 and x11proto-input-dev 1.9.99.6 and there isn't an offset
menu rendering problem anymore using the static mesa version on the
blender website. The ubuntu repo version and static python version from

Thanks for the quick response.
It never used to do this, only since I did the version upgrade to ubuntu
9.04 yesterday.
I had to remove clamav just to be able to do apt-get --configure -a
I just tried to reinstall dansguardian with the dependency on clamav
now, and this is what I got:
