Same KDE version and same problem for me. I hacked a bit with the
service file (.desktop), and it seems to be ok. However, as a temporary
workaround:
cd /usr/share/kde4/services
sudo ln -s kcmsambaconf.desktop kcm_kcmsambaconf.desktop
solved for me. Someone was looking for the wrong file name.

Actually, the monitor has two inputs and DDC only works on the second
input, not the first.

It seems to be related yes, I made a patched libxcb for bug 277069 and
it solved the issue.
Though the difference here is that firefox showed the bug for both
intrepid and jaunty while that inkscape and gimp issue only showed up
with jaunty.

i believe i went through the process of installing the patch correctly.
reason i am skeptical is because, after installing the patch, re-
compiling, and re-installing the rt2860 module, i was unable to connect
to any wireless networks. i could see them listed in network manager
but no connection
It is certainly an issue with wifi on this pc as well: I have a Kubuntu 64
bit and if I manually turn off the hardware switch of the wifi card, I am
then enabled to shutdown the pc properly

UPDATE - POSSIBLE WORKAROUND: When I insert a figure and caption they
default to anchor to paragraph. I change the frame anchor to as
character because anchoring to paragraph often results in a picture
that wildly relocates it self. Anchoring as character gives better

It happens to me about once a month on 9.10. Unfortunately I usually
catch it after my original status.xml rolls off my backups.
Is there an app in Linux that can watch the status.xml file and alert
when it changes so I can hopefully catch this problem?

Pidgin randomly forgets all saved
I had no luck with WICD.
This workaround is a little messy, but it seems to work better than
nothing.
sudo nano -B /usr/lib/pm-utils/sleep.d/45iwlist
Then edit it so that the command iwlist scan is part of the process:

Kubuntu installer I18N broken

Thanks. I forgot about this bug actually, but I already submitted a
backtrace to the upstream bug report linked from the bug 360598, which
this is a duplicate of.

with CONFIG_BLK_DEV_LOOP=y does not even make sense to compile loop-aes with
module assistant: if the loop module is compiled inside the kernel we can't
replace it with an external one...
So the description of the loop-aes-source package is just wrong:
fix that resolves this problem

This is the problem.
i had been reading about UBUNTU and, feeling bored one day downloaded
XUBUNTU and installed it on an old desk top pc which i was going to strip
down for spares, better to give it a try on this, rather than screw up my
new pc.
I plugged in my BELKIN network adaptor and i

Unless the publisher id of the actual image is set, the saving really
does nothing. Please check the publisher id of that FreeDOS ISO image at
Extras/Image information. If its value is empty, there is an easy
workaround. Please set an arbitrary (but non-empty) value at Extras/Set
publisher id and
