I have a dual boot Kubuntu - Jaunty and Karmic
Jaunty runs nicely without any problems
When I installed Karmic the first time, during installation using
alternate CD, it refused to write grub to mbr, saying that it couldn't.
I tried with both

The music just stopped playing again and I got the same error again.

check. Since the KDE 4.1.1, a lot of improvements have been included and
konqueror 4.2.4 is now becoming my principal webbrowser.

yes it definately still happens, here using fedora's kde 4.2.3..
