Hey all, I just bumped into this problem too, with Ubuntu 9.04 unr installed
fresh from a usb stick, used sda1 as / (ext2), and a sd card for /home (ext4).
After my battery was empty my SD disk crashed upon resume.
obviously the problem is a lost partition table:
output of 'sudo fdisk -l'

This does not work for me in Intrepid.
To print a landscape PDF I had to rotate it to portrait.
However, a PDF might contain a mix of portrait and landscape pages and
still should print out correctly. That is the landscape pages should be
rotated so that they can be printed on portrait paper

In installing the latest Ubuntu 9.04 I had a problem with my wifi which
worked perfectly in an up-to-date Debian Lenny install.
The card is not detected at all. No information about it appear in lspci
or dmesg. I know the card was recognized as AR242x in Debian Lenny and

All those symlinks are there for me, but I can confirm that I have the
same problem with drives not being detected, so I'll confirm this bug.
I don't think the CD burning programs care about the symlinks. I would
assume they look for the drive in HAL. My drive isn't listed by HAL and
