In karmic, when an automatic fsck is started on a non-system partition during
boot, the system continues the boot process as it should while the fsck is run
I don't think Claus' problem is clearly related to this one, as I am
definitely experiencing this problem with the trackpoint, only. It does
not seem to be related to the touchpad or external mouse.
