I have the same issues: when I add xchat in Startup applications then the
icon wont appear.
When i run xchat manually then notification area icon appears and works as

I found the problem! If I do iwconfig it tells me that txpower is off.
Everyone else who has this problem, try doing:

I connect to a ftp server.
Then I double clic on a file I want to download, the download starts and
displays that about 3 min remains untill the end.
During these 3 minutes I double clic on another file. Sometimes I am
disconnected, sometimes GFTP
I'm using the same version of Stellarium (0.10.2-1) in Jaunty kernel
2.6.28-16-generic #55-Ubuntu SMP Tue Oct 20 19:48:32 UTC 2009 x86_64
GNU/Linux with Nvidia driver 180.44 and have no problems on the same PC.

Those are internal drive's partitions. They are mounting fine and
operational. The only problem is that their icons are not shown on
Desktop, and no Eject button in Nautilus sidebar.

sda1: ext3 /
sda5: encrypted swap
sdb1: external usb hard disk (truecrypt device/volume) for backups. Without
beeing mounted with truecrypt there are no filesystem or
seems solved since last update: krdc 4.3.2-0ubuntu4
