I'm having a similar problem of convert dieing after chewing up all my
memory trying to make a pdf from multiple jpgs. This used to work fine
before upgrading to Karmic. It seem any kind of wildcard with convert

I didn't notice that the installer was running. It's a bit weird that the

Jaunty to Karmic and it mostly works fine. The problem is that neither
Bluetooth or WiFi work at all now. Wired Ethernet is fine. Overall,

Every time I logout the fact that I had set Visual Effects to Normal is
forgotten. This means everytime I login there is no window manager
started. I had hoped the upgrade from Jaunty to Karmic would cure this
but it hasn't.
Is there any way to force the system to remember
I have the same problem on a Dell Precision M90. Volume is either mute
or full blast. Very little in between. I appreciate all your efforts
in finding a swift fix for this show-stopper.
