After upgrading to Karmic I could use the free driver for my Broadcom
wifi card. That means wl is not in use anymore
(sudo rmmod wl gives output ERROR: Module wl does not exist in
/proc/modules)
So I think we may conclude that it seems not to be related to wl.

This bug can be closed now - I ran apt-get clean and reinstalled gcc-4.4
with no issues this time.
It could have been due to the .deb file not being downloaded properly on
a flaky internet connection I think.

I have this in Karmic, I tried all the different power save settings
(commenting out, powersave=0, etc) nothing worked so I went back to
jaunty, where it doesn't have a pop/buzz sound, pop seems to happen when
you activate a sound then you have silence for 10secs, then it goes back
to sleep and

I managed to build the kernel modules against the linux-fsl-imx51
headers and install them; make check then ran, using the configure args
you suggest (I added --prefix=/usr --mandir=/usr/share/man for

I can't print from evince using a network printer. I tested with 2
different network printers, both HP.
From printers menu I can print the test page correctly. I also can print
pdf using okular, but with evince nothing happens.

not sure if Anton32828 got this figured out yet but he said, 1) No
ability to clear document history within the applications. This is a
function of the Gnome Places menu which isn't available in UNR.
and I found out a shortcut...
press Alt + F1 to display a normal drop-down that includes Places
closing as won't fix. filed bug #509243 as a removal request for lucid
instead.
