System: Kubuntu 10.04 amd64, upgraded from karmic.
Kernel: custom 2.6.32 kernel configured and compiled from ubuntu kernel source
package.
I upgraded nvidia-185-kernel-source, and the package requires nvidia-
current as dependency, but nvidia-current gave the same error
Using the option Tiling false does not make a difference it froze at login
screen. (ssh worked)
Will now try to revert to the older libdrm versions and intel video drivers as
instructed by Brian Rogers.

I've disabled pulseaudio because it has huge problems working with
VirtualBox and gone back to ALSA.
Is there an applet equivalent in the Karmic repos to provide volume

I am having the same Problem New Intell Quad core 64 bit machine...

Thanks, now it is working (I am wondering, what happened, I didnt do
anything). I only tried the third possibility, the Scanner Utility (or
Flegita) and the scanner was working. So after this I tried to find the
scanner using command line lsusb and sane-find-scanner and the scanner
was recognised.

This is a gdecrypt bug. python-gnome2-extras has gone in Lucid, and has
been split in to smaller packages. gdecrypt needs rebuilding with
updated dependencies
