I don't use a framebuffer device. I use x.org.
KVM uses SDL to draw the virtual machines window. SDL has a variety of
video output drivers available, including x11 and directfb. When SDL
starts, it tries to auto-detect what graphics driver it should use. If
you're running X, it should detect this

At least I got a /dev/fb0 now:

I managed to work around this bug by letting the installer set up full-disk
encryption as usual. When the error message came, I chose Yes to display the
partitioning scheme already created by the installer. Here I changed the type

hello every body , i've try the new beta1 of 10.04 LTS and i found a
problem .. when i plug the mobile broadband modem into my laptop it is
not shown in the network manager applet .. so . i solved in rebooting my
pc but i have to plug it into my laptop during the rebooting

Kept running evolution in gdb to finally catch it in action.
Noticed that evolution had frozen with:

I think this has to do with usb-modeswitch, this program is responsible
for ensuring USB devices don't end up showing up as CD-ROM drives with
Windows drivers.

I have 2 USB modems, Huawei E180 and Huawei E1820. The former worked
fine in Ubuntu 9.04 and 9.10, but not in 10.04 as of 21-03-2010. The
E1820 was detected as a 3G device in Ubuntu 9.10 but it could not
connect.
Both devices now show up as CD-ROM drives. I've nominated this for Lucid

When I login using gnome-failsafe or xterm then no wireless connection
is offered (while ifconfig does show that wrireless is present), but the
