I have only tested in 32 bits ubuntu, and no I am not using an

I've tried without any options (like crossfade) and by disabling all the
plugins. The only difference I've seen is that the info-panel plugin
takes even more CPU.

OK, I tested again with the latest daily image and the bug is still
there.
The file /usr/share/language-support/incomplete-language-support-
gnome.note does not get linked to /var/lib/update-notifier/user.d/ .
Adding ubiquity to this bug, need to investigate what goes wrong there.
