I had some other problems in karmic when using KDE with humanity icon,
but the sound/mixer icon was ok.
The arrows and + icon were kind of broken in KDE for 9.10, but in
10.04 this issue is gone.

Can you please click on Try Ubuntu, then once at the destkop, open
/usr/lib/ubiquity/ubiquity/keyboard_detector.py in an editor as root

AIUI, the issue isn't that the dialogs are confusing (they can be fixed)
or that they can be spoofed (the real dialog should always be presented
anyway). The problem is that the ACLs can be bypassed since gnome-
keyring is trying to enforce the ACLs but runs in the same security

Can anyone experiencing this bug please add set -x to the second line of
/usr/share/migration-assistant/ma-script-utils so that it looks like:

. /usr/share/debconf/confmodule
Then hit alt-f2 and type `ubiquity -d`. Run the installer until it crashes,

I am running 10.1 and did all the updates and running ASUS mb and LG DvD drive
and locks up with anything being put in.
Reading this thread wow long ongoing issue, I think i have to use XP until i
get a new drive :S but everything else with OS is awsome and i am really
