Just to try to speed things up to make it go into that infinite loop of
non-connectingness, i decided to transfer 2.9GB of data from my desktop
computer to my laptop, and low and behold something so incredibly
obvious appears. Right at about 1:50 is where i started the file
transfer. Want to guess

In 10.10 alpha 2 (with most-recent updates, Totem 2.30.2), the problem

It seems that you tested the mainline build of 2.6.35-rc1, while 2.6.35-rc3 was
the newest at that point (now it's -rc4). That could be the source of the other
problems. There was a discussion on the intel-gfx mailing list about
hibernation causing memory corruption on intel hardware last week.
The ppa is already added, I think. Please give us more information about your
system, such as ubuntu release, architecture, etc. From the next time onwards,
file bugs in launchpad using Apport. You could have filed this bug by running
the following command in the terminal:
apport-bug
This should be fixed upstream in kernel 2.6.35-rc4. From the changelog:
