That's strange. /usr/sbin/apache2ctl should contain mkdir -p
/var/run/apache2 and the init script should only call apache2ctl. Can
you check that? And if apache2 failed to start after a boot, you should
be able to restart it (using the init script or apache2ctl) without
creating the directory.

neglecting it (the patch was forwarded a year ago, and once more 2 days
ago with no reply), I have to make this change.
Also, the Ubuntu patches add an Upstart file to the package as well,
which are required. Thats why

no difference, I just had my system go haywire because mplayer was still

I'm running ubuntu Desktop 64 bit alternate, Since the upgrade to the
kernel 2.6.31-22 generic, When the fan of the processor cooling unit
start, in never stop. So I now work with the previous release of the

Hi Bryce! You may close this bug as solved. After more testing I
found out the problem was the faulty USB cord, which on this camera is
not built in and has a mini USB connector. Using the cord from my
Blackberry 8830 resolved the issue. Sorry for the inconvenience. Hard to
