I can't reproduce your problem on 4.7.0.6 that is currently in my PPA. I
have created a user with tcsh as a login shell. It's true that mc starts
a little bit slower than with bash, but this difference is hardly

I haven't used gwibber or UNE for months, so I'm probably not the right
guy to discuss this right now... wrt epiphany, if i start using maximus
again I'll watch for it.

It's been four months with no progress. I have been with Linux since around
1995 (Debian with 9 diskettes) and with Ubuntu since Warty Warthog, and I
have never experienced a situation like this. Yeah, it was difficult
configuring X, but it could be done. Is this going to be fixed in Lucid or
Igor's solution is the one that worked for me. My channel was set to
Automatic, 11. I logged in to my router and changed it to Manual, 10.
Then deleted the existing connection from Network Manager and found and
reconnected to my router. And I guess I will live happily everafter.

Definitely agree whole-heartedly, this is an excellent tool for power
users and people who like to tweak out their Ubuntu instance. Kinda
like TweakUI for XP back in the day but way more feature rich. It
doesn't need to be standard app, but should be in the software center.

Just to be clear the same issue is occurring on the i7 model with the
ATI Radeon HD 4850. Would love to start using Ubuntu but getting around
this bug is tough and when I did get around it the video performance was
pretty dismal but I guess that may be unrelated.

I used to have this problem frequently on Deluge 1.1.9, but I haven't
seen it again since doing a clean install of Ubuntu 10.4 with Deluge
1.2.2.
