I've just checked the diff for your patch and you only list emacs in
the black list. I still had the problem because my emacs is launched as
emacs23 (and most of the time as emacsclient -c -a emacs23 actually).
Perhaps a regex could be good at this point.

Browsing source code of 2.12.1-0ubuntu10.1 libc6 package for Maverick I
discovered that above mentioned patch was applied from 2.12 version of
eglibc.

I'd need to first find the time and then take the laptop from my wife
long enough to recompile and reload the psmouse driver, so it'll take
some time to get you some dmesg output.
Meanwhile, if psmouse::synaptics isn't showing up, there's only three

With the keyring tool under System-Preferences you can change the password for
the login keyring to an empty string. Be aware though that the keys in this
keyring will then be on your harddrive in plain text, readable for anybody who
has access to it.
