just a short note to say that this is solved with 11.04 from a USB stick
on the same hardware. Did not try with the CD, but I assume it is the
same. Now I won't have to disassemble the video card every time I re-

laptop. I can stop the noise by preventing the processor from idling:

Note that when this happens I can no longer drag any maximised windows
(it's not just a single window that refuses to drag). Unmaximised
windows can be moved as normal. Also worth saying that I can drag the
maximised window if I hold Alt and drag it's body.

Thats odd. Running gksu should still ask you for a password since you
are asking for root privileges. Anyway, since it runs under sudo but
not under your user account, I am betting its a local user error and not
a system wide bug. Lets try removing the update-manager and putting a
fresh one in.
What gtk theme do you use (there at least used to be setting for this in
KDE systemsettings, but couldn't find it immediately in 4.4.5)? And does
this happen if you change the gtk theme?

It took me quite a while to figure out what was causing the problem. I
reset all icons to default (unity --reset-icons) and then added every
icon one by one. So far the only icon that is causing this problem is
Clementine.
I think this happens because Clementine has a scalable icon which takes
Confirm instructions by @waffelball in post #156 work with clean
install of Natty (11.04) on N145Plus with samsung-tools + samsung-
backlight. Did not try suspend when out-of-box.

I bought a new Nvidia card, installed the default Nvidia drivers through
synaptic and the freezing problem has disappeared. This PC previously

I've 130-160 wakeups-from-idle per second. Is it a good value?
Probably not, because with the very same hardware on Maverick (kernel
2.6.35-29-generic) powertop counts only 35 interrupts/sec with wireless
disabled and about 85 with wireless enabled. Estimated power consumption
is 6,6 vs 6,5 W.
And overlay scroll bar are not in eclipse, eclipse is blacklisted.
When I use eclipse from official package, I see it in launcher.
But I need eclipse 3.6, I downloaded it, And when I launch this eclipse,
it's not apear in launcher.

are handled correctly (after changing the IPv6 setting from 'Ignore' to
'Automatic').

Same problem here, also Kubuntu 11.04 64-bit.
If you need a solution to this problem before the bug is solved, you can
authenticate through keys instead of password. When I read it, I thought
it was going to be difficult (excuse my ignorance), but it's pretty
