because it cannot find the SRV record for the realm. If I add servers to
the config, like localhost, it tries to contact those but fails, which

ndefontenay: what release are you seeing this in? I can't reproduce the
lstat() warnings; however, the Fatal Error due to the PEAR::raiseErro()
typo unfortunately affects all releases.

I just ran into this bug. In hindsight a serious issue that started 3 days ago
with one of our web apps seems to also be caused by this.
Just tested Steve's patched packages (5.2.4-2ubuntu5.17~lp776642) on our dev
server and I can confirm they fix the problems for us.

In my testing all that needs to be done is:
* add the letter r onto line 165 in REST.php
* create /tmp/pear/cache
I have tested installing several packages after doing these steps and it works.

confirm the segfault is no longer triggered by either of the test cases
above, nor by the original code where we saw the error.

I have a very similar problem. I can't install apache2 because the same
apache2-commons cannot be fetched. and dpkg --configure -a has not any

Ubuntu 10.11, I used new spellings like connaitre, aigüe, gout in
my mails, and they didn't get underlined by the spellchecker, but since
I've updated to Ubuntu 11.04 they do!

LXterminal makes black
I completely forgot to say that to be able to reproduce this bug, you
have to use the Clean, Simple or Blue themes in Empathy. This
behavior disappears with the Classic or Ubuntu default theme.

Cannot connect to
@Geoff: I see the PPA has been updated and Evolution does close to the
Messaging Menu but the Messaging Menu icon doesn't notify of new emails
anymore.
