when i started Blender the language is Chinese ( i think). I also
tried the install in Voidcodes post above, but still get Chinese (i

Konqueror/Qt doesn't define symbols with the same names as functions in
GTK2. The problem is that the majority of functions in gtk2 and gtk3
have the same symbol names.
If Qt defined (for example) gtk_widget_show(), there'd be conflicts and

Caused by revision 170 in hald, removing /etc/init.d/hal - meaning that
invoke-rc.d cannot restart hald in halevt postinst.
Workaround - comment out the line invoke-rc.d --quiet hal restart in
/var/lib/dpkg/info/halevt.postinst, run dpkg --configure -a, and
reboot.

Geez this is annoying. There are so many terminal applications that use
F1: vim, screen, htop, etc.
It really seems like the simplest solution would be to change the
default to Alt+F1.
