I'm also affected by this seemingly small, but extremely annoying bug
and it took me a couple of days before finding this report.
My MacBook 5,1 and Asus Eee PC are both affected by it and it already
made me upgrade to Oneiric in the hope it was fixed and then back to OS
X before giving it a new

to create a bootable USB install drive, and successfully installed
Ubuntu Server 11.04 x64 on it with no problems at all. This is the

openssh can lookup a host's key in the DNS (via the SSHFP record) and
use it compare hosts presented public key.
VerifyHostKeyDNS yes
I believe that is the connection is secured via DNSSEC that this option
will allow for the host's key to be automagically accepted.
Meant to say that /etc/ssh/config would be the place to put the default
